About this product

Penfolds Magill Estate Shiraz is a slice of history. The only remaining wine from Penfolds that is solely grown and made at the historic Magill Estate in the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide - and still today a single vineyard wine. Medium-bodied in style with a tendency towards succulent red fruits and herbaceous tones, the 2000 Magill was borne out of an early vintage that has produced the lowest crop since its inaugural year in 1983. Drinking at its optimum, the 2000 Magill is desribed by Peter Gago as having a fruit explosion on the front palate that is supported by a focused sage and thyme notes which turns lusciously into chocolate and cherry on the finish.
