Machine-harvested, open-fermented, 20-22 days on skins, matured in French oak (32% new). The Great Southern grows some of the best shiraz in Australia. It has the studied elegance of anyone or anything that is secure in itself, here the purity of the black fruits that deliver prodigious power at moderate alcohol levels and embrace French oak whenever offered.
