Sweet, Medium Bodied style of White BlendBordeaux, FranceChâteau Filhot is set amongst the woods and fields of Sauternes and is one of the most beautiful estates in the region. No oak is used in the production of Filhot, only glass-fibre vats that contribute to the elegant structure of the wines, rarely becoming the uncious and full bodied wines that generally have a higher proportion of Semillon. The Filhot from the 2009 vintage is dominated by a subtle nutty note, most prominantly almond. While honey, apricot and peach play their role, it is the almond nose and palate that set this wine apart and is a major part of its exotic appeal.
