Château FontenilFronsac 2009
About this product
Bordeaux winemaking genius and entrepreneur, Michel Rolland, along with his wife Dany established Château Fontenil in 1986 on Bordeaux's right bank in the appellation of Fronsac. Fontenil was the lieu-dit of one of the premier plots of vineyard land and hence where the Châteaux arrived at its name. The blend is always Merlot dominant to provide, not surprisingly, a decadent and showy red wine with layers of blueberry and blackcurrant flavours. Notes of plum are clearly evident in the 2009 that will age easily for the next 15 years which will see the quality of the 2009 vintage come into claritiy.
