Château Gruaud LaroseSaint-Julien 2009
About this product
Château Gruaud-Larose is a classical Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot blend that shows ripe dark cherry fruit, firm tannins and decent acidity. The 2009 vintage has proved to be one of the greatest vintages in living memory and the Gruaud has come along for the ride nicely. Still showing that trademark poise Saint-Julien is famous for, yet with powerful fruit weight and close to immortal length. Notes of licquorice, pencil shavings and blackberry bush that is more akin to more fruit forward appellations. A ripping example from a great vintage.
