Château Doisy-DaëneBarsac 2009 375mL
About this product
Château Doisy-Daëne was once apart of a larger estate encompassing all three Doisy estates and now produces a delightful dessert wine that is lighter than most on the front palate due to intricate vinification methods that include sterile filters and new oak. The 2009 is of equal concentration to that of the 2007, considered at the time to be an all-time classic. Unctuous flavours of honeycomb and ripe apricots along with an orange zest backbone compliment supportive and structured acid line throughout.

The Doisy Daene 2009 is quite delicious now giving intense aromas of lemon marmalade, preserved kumquat, mandarin peel and honeycomb. The palate is big, rich and sweet with a seductive silkiness and around 150 g/l of residual sugar / 14% alcohol. Long in the finish, it only seems slightly lacking in Botrytic character but is nonetheless an enticing wine.
