Château Pape ClémentPessac-Léognan 2009
About this product
Château Pape Clément can boast one of the richest histories in Bordeaux, and even more so in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Planted in 1300, the estate is the oldest planted vineyard in the Pessac-Léognan appellation after being planted by Bernard de Groth, the future Pope Clément V. The 2009 Clément ranks among the estates finest, luckily for recent buyers, those have been in the past 15 years. Showing characters of blueberries and toasted vanilla along with complimenting crushed herbs, this is a Clément with a full-bodied feel.

Although the 2009 Pape Clement may not be as sublime as the 2005 or 2000, but it is very close to those two efforts, and it will be fascinating to compare them (as well as the 2008 and 2010) over the following three decades. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvig
