Château Cantermerle is a lovely old 5th growth property has has recently been restored to its former glory. 1980 saw the turnaround in fortunes and the wines have been going from strength to strength in recent times. Château Cantermerle's wines show great lightness and elegance although balanced with lovely fruit richness across the middle palate. This elegance and balance is on show marvellously with the 2009 vintage which is being spoken about in very high esteem. Even considered one of the greatest vintages of the past 100 years.
