About this product

Château Pichon-Longueville Baron has become simply known as Pichon Baron to distinguish it from its across the road neighbour, Pichon Comtesse, the Château is a must see on the route des Châteaux with its slender turrets and high-pitched roof. After losing its way in the 60s and 70s, Pichon Baron is back to its heralded best with wines that are quintessential Pauillac with ripe and robust tannin and fruit that is brilliantly elegant. No more finer example than the 2009 release which has seen the estate produce its best wine for the past 20 years. Layers of coffee, mocha, blackberry and cedar characters are all present in the most  voluptuous Pichon Baron in recent memory.
