About this product

Château Canon-la-Gaffelière lies on flat, sandy soil on the road that runs from the Libourne-Bergerac road to Saint-Émilion. In the past the wines of the Château often seemed oaky and out of balance, but now are denser, richer and more textured. Through experimentation and experience in the vineyard, Canon-la-Gaffeliere goes from strength to strength. The proof which can be tasted in the quite extraordinary 2009 wine which has a higher than normal proportion of Cabernet Franc. Luxurious tannins along with ripe, velvet like fruit come together magnificently in a wine that will be supremely enjoyable over the next 20+ years.
