Bright crimson-purple colour is a good start to a wine that reaffirms the ability of McLaren Vale to provide cabernet grapes that, given the appropriate treatment in the winery, can more consistently produce classy cabernet than either the Barossa or Clare Valleys. Here blackcurrant fruit has that faintly earthy/savoury nuance to provide complexity and length within a medium-bodied frame, tannins fulfilling the task that Bacchus assigned to them.

Intense dark chocolate, espresso aromas. Gorgeously seductive with ripe curranty fruit, praline, coffee flavours, plentiful tannins. Firm and long. Fabulous!!!
