Quattro Vitigni 2016

This wine is a blend of predominantly Sangiovese and Nebbiolo with some Merlot and Shiraz. Quattro Vitigni is Italian for “four varietals”. It packs a punch of fruit on the nose displaying sweet black fruity characters such as blackcurrants, blueberries and mulberries. The fruitiness of the Sangiovese provides a sharp contrast to the austerity provided by the Shiraz. The palate offers juicy acidity and savoury tannin fruit profile in line with the “Italian-ate” style. It is a bold wine and the flavours allow this wine to be a good match with a variety of different types of foods.
