About this product
The Angelus is one of the flagship wines from Wirra Wirra and is named after a 3/4 tonne bell in McLaren Vale which rings at the begining and end of each vintage. Thsi Cabernet gives fresh cassis and blackcurrants mixed with leathery, anise notes on the nose followed by a long and rich palate full of fine sandy tannins and French oak.

Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Strong crimson-purple; the January heat spike did this medium-bodied wine no harm at all; the blackcurrant and cassis fruit does have some powdery tannins, but only as much as you would expect; the fine, juicy finish is totally beguiling.
