Cantare 2016

In keeping with Star Lane Winery’s exacting standards and no compromise approach all fruit is estate grown in soil that is just as carefully chosen for its important contribution as every other aspect of the Star Lane wine making process. 
This wine is a blend of Shiraz and Sangiovese. There is a hint of spicy oak and mocha aroma on the nose balanced with sweet berry fruit from the Shiraz and cherry and acid drive coming from the Sangiovese component. There is a lovely herbal dried leaf profile balanced with plum pudding and summer berry fruits on the palate. The wine is called Cantare as it is Italian for sing because the two varietals truly are in complete harmony with one another.
