A multi-regional masterpiece that shows power, concentration and balance to showcase the very best in Australian wine. This 1953 is still a beautiful, velvet-textured and rare Grange with sweetfruit/ roasted meat/mocha/herb/leather flavours and loose-knit, slinky, dry tannins. Finishes long and sweet. A very famous old Australian wine still showing remarkable freshness and balance.

Good drop but won't win any prizes for label art

Had this at a garden party with ripperion entertainment. Must say it was top notch. My wife typically chooses wine by the label though so she would definitely walk straight past this one. A hidden gem.

A really great wine to add to a hearty winter dish if you’ve got the money for it. Roasts away well and leaves a pretty good flavour. Mate said I should’ve drank a glass but I’m not the sort of person who would pour themselves a red. Anyway

Did not have money for the 1952 so I tried something a little bit more recent. It was OK if you are into that kind of thing, but I ended up using it to add some pizazz to my spag bol.
