Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2009 Hyland Shiraz has notes of warm mulberries, plums and blueberry preserves with nuances of Chinese five spice and aniseed. Concentrated, full bodied and with a medium to firm level of chewy tannins, it has lively acid and a long finish.
