About this product

The winemakers at St Hugo have selected the premier examples of their low yielding Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro vines to make this full bodied, and delightfully plush wine. The nose is beautifully aromatic, floral notes are nicely balanced by rich Turkish delight. On the palate, ripe fruit notes and subtle oak are beautifully hung of rich and fine tannin. Yuuuum!!!! A genuine medium bodied GSM. Super smooth and elegant. Not quite as fruit as I expected, perhaps aged too long?? Has inspired me to try more of the St Hugo range.

I did not enjoy this GSM at all. I found it be quite acidic and unpleasant. Maybe it's meant to be a feature, but I wouldn't buy again. Will use it for mulled wine and add plenty of sugar.
