Now considered one of the beacons of quality and consistency in the world of Cabernet blends here in Australia, Cape Mentelle's Trinders Caberet Merlot is a richly textured wine with blackcurrant, liqueur cherry and hints of sweet vanilla. Savoury, dusty oak provides depth and structure, finishing with chalky, dry tannins. While nice and lush upon release, the Trinders can really begin to sing a wonderful tune with a few years laid down in your cellar.

This is indeed a great Cabernet Merlot which is drinking well now after decanting for about i hour but will still develop and display it's rich complexity for years to come. A great example of Margaret River Cabernet Merlot.

I first tried it in Margaret River at the Winery, loved it , its not a light Merlot , it has a bit of body with the Cabernet in it, so I like it a lot.
