YalumbaY Series Vermentino
About this product
Vermentino has quickly shot to fame over the summer in Australia as a great aromatic alternative and a perfect match for seafood dishes, especially those Sardines. Yalumba had used night-time harvesting. And as a result? A pristine wine that is pale green straw in colour with prominent aromas of jasmine and white nectarine, complemented by accents of cantaloupe and sandalwood. The palate is quite textured but with an exciting salty feel aligned with racing acidity. Another great varietal example as part of the Y Series range.

Light bodied white wines have a water-light mouthfeel. Often very pale to light colour.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Vintage 2014
92 points
White nectarine, citrus peel and oyster shell. A very summery wine with great freshness, grapefruit-pith acidity and a chalky, talc-like finish. Slurping excellence.
