Glenmorangie's ultimate expression - the 1981 Pride Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The Pride is the culmination of 28 years of passion, patience and artistry. With a birthdate of October 1981, the Pride was originally to be released as an 18 year old in 1999, but Dr Bill Lumsden acquired a prized collection of Sauternes barriques from the famed Chateau d'Yquem and went about ageing this exceptional whisky in these barriques for a further 10 years. The resulting malt is one that has been extra-matured longer than any other Glenmorangie malt. Strictly limited throughout the world, this truly ground-breaking whisky is housed in a work of art by French designer Laurence Brabant and Dutch designer, Wouter Scheublin; a Baccarat crystal decanter that is a breathtaking amalgam of wood and glass.
