The Shiraz grapes were hand-picked, destemmed and fermented in 5 tonne open fermenters with twice daily pump overs to achieve maximum extraction of colour, flavour and tannin from the grape skins. At the completion of fermentation, the skins were basket pressed with the pressings and free-run combined.

This has been made with great skill, for while it has the alcohol, fruit power and depth, tannins and American oak that mark it as Barossa Valley and nothing else, it has an open weave, a lightness of touch rarely encountered. Great value, its future guaranteed by its balance.
