About this product

Tscharke are one of the leaders of the pack when it comes to the fresh approach to alternate varieties here in Australia. Well known for their Tempranillo and Savagnin, this is their take on the great Tuscan variety of Montepulciano. Amazingly aromatic and lifted in perfumed spice, raspberries and dark cherries. Subtle hints of sarsaparilla give way to a layered and textural palate of some ripe bloody plum and cherries once more. A wine of superb weight and length that is best enjoyed with some food.

Great value for money. Excellent wine for pizza or pasta (good fruit medium tannin some oak) drinks well young and with a bit of age, not a wine I cellar for a long time. Excellent sunday afternoon barbecue type wine

Another excellent wine by a first class winemaker. For mine the best of a stable of very interesting Spanish/Italian/Portuguese varieties. Combination of excellent viticulture with excellent winemaking (and excellent Barossa vineyard sites)

I purchased this wine after a chat with a Dan Murphy staff member. It lived up to it's recommendation and went well with all the food we ate with it. I will buying more of this to have on hand for the future.
