Universally regarded as one of the very best shiraz wines produced in the Barossa in any given year, 2014 saw one of the best ever Old Blocks produced under the auspicious label. How do they combine elegance, succulence and power in the one bottle? Very old vines, careful selection and experienced winemaking are the keys. A broad flavour spectrum, all typically Barossan, but of the highest order - deep, rich, black fruit and plum, earthy chocolate, pepper-spice, smoky cedar, cured meats, licorice, and so on. Barossa brilliance! (Tasted January 2023) . This will still be good in ten years time. Very old vines, careful selection and experienced winemaking are the keys.
