Dry, Light Bodied style of RieslingClare Valley, AustraliaAs a young wine the 2017 Jim Barry Watervale Riesling won gold at two prestigious wine shows - Sydney and Adelaide. So popping a quality riesling into our cellaring prgramme didn't take much thinking about. After 5 years we have the pay-off. The wine still remains vivacious but is now filling out and displaying toasty, lemon butter notes, and a lime blossom nose. Other distinguishing features are the clarity of crystalline flavour and the softness of the acidity. Along the way there's a gentle phenolic note that adds textural interest. Drink now and over the next 2 years.

Light bodied white wines have a water-light mouthfeel. Often very pale to light colour.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
