This complex, pithy citrus experience is StrangeLove’s homage (of sorts) to the old cult classic. Of course, like all things StrangeLove, this offers a fresh take on the old-school, combining organic lemons and cinchona with exotic Asian citrus extracts for a new found flare. Alongside lemon and orange peel and organic lemon juice for body, StrangeLove have used some extract from the calamansi citrus (cultivated mostly in the Philippines) which brings an even pithier, freshly squeezed appeal to the glass. Organic cane sugar is used here as the StrangeLove team found it was better for balancing the raciness of the lemon juice. The result is sensational, best served simply in a Gin & Bitter Lemon or paired with white rum or vodka.
