Tahbilk reds are excellent candidates for any cellaring programme. Dollar for dollar they are among this countries best cellaring wines. They always benefit from careful ageing. This gold medal winner is made in the time honoured tradition of Tahbilk, oak playing a very modest role. Varietal black currant and mint flavours along with black tea tannins are coming together well, as they always do, in this evocative red. It is not a big extracted fruit bomb, more like, restrained, refined and reliable.
