UlithorneUnicus Shiraz 2017
About this product
The Unicus is the product of Shiraz fruit that just could not be ignored in the Seaview subregion of McLaren Vale. When we see and taste exceptional, one of a kind fruit, it excites us to pick, nurture, and bring to your glass… an exceptional wine.
This powerful Shiraz shows illuminating purity of plums, black currants and a touch of cedar. There is spicy clove and black pepper on the nose, supported by red and black currant perfume. The length and drive of well structured tannins allow the Unicus to cellar well.

A powerful rendition of the variety, the wine offers black/blueberry, plum, anise, thyme and vanillin oak characters on the nose, leading to a brilliantly concentrated palate that’s displays awesome depth and intensity. Wonderfully balanced and multi-layered with a persistent delicious finish. At its best: now to 2032

Yet another triumph for this highly regarded winery. The Unicus story is developing into a formidable body of work. Absolutely prime, dark McLaren Vale fruit laden with thick plumminess and hallmark chocolate richness floods across the palate with dense, languorous ease
