About this product

Bere is the oldest strain of cultivated cereal and its origins in the distant mists of time are still unclear.

Growing Bere on Islay has been an incredible challenge. In all the trying Bruichladdich has only managed five harvests making Bruichladdich Bere Barley a very rare dram indeed.

Unpeated and produced distilled and bottled on islay at 50% ABV this whisky has a rich nose with green fruits, gooseberries, apples and pears plus a deep rich and malty palate and a long finish.
