About this product

Any lover of Australian Pinot should taste William Downie’s evocative expressions. Made in Baw Baw Shire, in the heart of West Gippsland, his Bull Swamp Pinot Noir is made of fruit grown in volcanic soils back in 1981. There’s character in the grapes — picked from three very particular parcels — that expresses itself with beauty in this wine from one of our Pinot masters. This isn’t a light Pinot by any means. Medium to full bodied, it’s impressively structured with aromas of red cherry, juicy vine fruits, and a lick of red berries freshness. That volcanic earth comes through, too, with noticeable mineralogy, alongside savoury notes of rosemary and thyme.
