On the west coast of the Fijian Island of Viti Levu lies the township of Lautoka and the RUM Co. of Fiji Distillery. A distillery producing rum as a craft, carried out by hand, and following time-honoured traditions since 1980. The Fijian Islands are renowned for their pure water, nourishing the sugarcane growing in rich volcanic soil at the base of The Sleeping Giant Mountain. The hand-cut sugarcane is distilled into rum, then filtered through coconut shell carbon to capture the pure taste of Fiji. The result is a range of deliciously smooth, internationally award-winning rums and liqueurs unlike anywhere else in the world. Our Ratu Signature Blend Rum Liqueur is aged for 8 years in charred oak barrels with aromas of zesty orange, dark chocolate, and coffee which give way to a velvet mouthfeel of coconut and spiced oak followed by a lingering fresh citrus aroma. Recently awarded a Platinum ‘Best of Class’ Award in the 2021 SIP Awards, a Gold Medal in the 2021 Bartender Spirits Awards and a 100-point perfect score ‘Century Award’ in the 2020 PROOF Awards in the USA.
