About this product
Matured in new French and American oak for 28 months. Opaque deep dark crimson red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays top notes of ripe blackcurrant intermixed with some cigar box, tobacco and spicy cedar characters. The palate delivers plenty of upfront rich ripe blackcurrant fruit followed by some mulberry with underlying cigar box, cedar and spice characters. Fine grained, slightly dryish but balanced tannins. Good depth with long aftertaste of blackcurrant, dusty cedar and spic

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

The grapes were grown at the Toccaciu Coonawarra estate, and the wine was matured for 26 months in French and American oak; while I am not a fan of ProCork, this is a very attractive wine, which has cruised through six, rising seven, years, the cassis and cedar flavours supported by very fine but persistent tannins.
