With a heftier hop and malt profile, the “Sticke Altbier” style is bold and mysterious. Never brewed in the same way twice. A sibling of the traditional Altbier style, you might even say the latest Single Batch, Reinhold, is Rogers’ German cousin. While the recipe is a little secretive, the flavour is undeniable. Full of toffee and fudge aromas, with some grassy hops peeking through, this beer is assertively bitter to start. It then gives way to a full mouthfeel of sweet malts, reminiscent of Oma’s dense fruitcake. Prost!
