Deep red/purple colour; the bouquet is clean and ripe, dark fruit dominant if a touch restrained. Violets too. The palate is full-bodied and firm, youthful and tight, with richness, flesh and sweet fruit galore. A very good wine, with nice ripe cabernet varietal characters, pleasing length and balance. (Coonawarra cabernet and Barossa shiraz, by Phil Lehmann and Jonathon Hesketh, celebrating their fathers Peter and Robert, who also worked together in wine. 2580 bottles made)
