Crams mountain of delicious goodies into its frame. Dark cherry, plum and spices with a liberal dollop of dark chocolate and cedar. Has that savoury, sinewy character of the region, with some dark fruits lurking in the background. Impressive example of Margs shiraz.

A far more polished wine compared with Block 5, but as the flagship, so it should be. A glug of malbec and viognier make their presence felt with apricot kernel and satsuma plums. The glossy palate is richly flavoured with oak, pepper, star anise and dried herbs. Full-bodied, power in the sweet ripe tannins, this will reward even more in time.
