About this product

Chateau Tanunda was established in 1890 and is the site of some of the first vines planted in the Barossa in the 1840's as well as the valley's first winery.Lifted aromas of blackberry, Morello cherry and strawberry are accompanied by spicy, dark berry fruits and a hint of pepper on the palate. The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from maturation in American and French oak barrels.

An unusual blend that really works nice savory overtones, very different from the usual Barossa reds, but oh so drinkable. definitely worth trying.

An unusual blend of Shiraz Primitivo Montepulciano that is new for me, finding this wine most flavoursome with ample body and fruit flavours and some spice perhaps from the Montepulciano, complemented by a nice finish. Would buy again.

Had low expectations but was really surprised by the forward fruit and savoury finish. Definitely a food wine. Will put some away to see what happens
