The Glenfarclas Family Cask collection encapsulates the essential character of the Distillery. Each bottle containing its own unique story and complexity of aromas. Each bottle in the Family cask series comes from a single cask. The Family Cask series includes a wide range of ages and vintages from 1954 to the newest release 2008. Family Cask bottlings are bottled at cask strength, which means the whisky is presented at the natural strength it was in the cask without dilution. As with many single cask releases, the Family Cask series is limited in quantity, which make them very collectable. Each bottle in the Family Cask series is labelled with information about the cask number, distillation and bottling dates, the type of cask used for ageing and other relevant details. Because each bottling comes from a unique cask, you can expect a wide range of flavour profiles within the Family Cask series. This can include notes of fruits, spices, oak, vanilla, caramel, and more, influenced by both the distillation process and the cask used for ageing.
