WynnsJohnson's Block Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
About this product
Planted in 1954, Johnsons Block is the oldest surviving Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in Coonawarra. These heritage vines produce a distinctively fine and aromatic, dark fruited wine each year. On the palate, this wine is elegant and refined with an array of dark blood plums, cherry and blackcurrant, balanced with savoury cacao, gamey meats and smoky spice. Beautiful powdery tannin mixed with bright acidity hold balance between the elements, allowing fine length finished by some lingering creamy oak.

98+ points
Attention grabbing, black fruits, fleshy, gravitas. Mulberry, tobacco leaf, tightly structured. A pup. Ironstone. World-Class Cabernet in anyone's language. This should be in any serious wine collector's cellar.
