About this product

This exquisite, triple-distilled single malt Irish Whiskey is matured only in select handpicked Spanish Sherry Casks which have previously been seasoned with the finest Oloroso Sherry. It is the influence of these scarce casks that give this expression of Writers Tears its signature rich, ruby hue and hence the name - 'Red Head'. The expression is distilled without chill filtering as nature intended and at a distinctive 46% ABV.

This is the whiskey I prefer to drink neat or on the rocks. Worth every dollar, highly recommended.

A nice warming Irish whiskey. On the nose is a huge hit of sherry cask. Lovely. On the tongue it's very floral without being too sweet. A nicely balanced drink.

This is a whisky I make sure I always have available. It’s a nice contrast to the Islay malts I also have. It seems to disappear quickly. (-;
