About this product
The fruit was machine picked then de-stemmed/crushed into open fermenters and inoculated. The ferments were pumped over with aeration twice a day; temperature was held around 25°C. The wine was then drained to barrel for its Malo-lactic fermentation, allowing a soft integration of the grape and oak tannins. The wine was blended, fined and filtered before bottling after 14 months maturation.

Expressing attractive varietal characters, the wine shows cassis, dark cherry, smoked wood and tobacco characters on the nose, leading to a beautifully supple palate that is rounded and juicy. It is flavoursome and friendly, elegantly framed by fine, grainy tannins, finishing supple and tasty. At its best: now to 2023.
