Dark berry fruitiness, dark chocolate, salted plums, green herbs and clove/cedar spice. Sloshy, joyous texture with ripe forest berry fruit character is the order of the day. A touch sweet on exit, but flavours linger and the wine is easy to slug down. Simple done really well, with just enough personality to take it to the next level.

Given the wine's name and its Spanish varieties, garnacha would have been more appropriate - and they're bush vines. Still, tempranillo leads 59%, monastrell 23% and grenache 18% a frisky juicy combo of sweet fruit, ripe tannins and plenty of zest appeal.
