FowlesThe Exception Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
About this product
The Fowles grapes for this wine came from the 10 shortest rows at the western end of Block 14 on our Upton Run vineyard. This wine is a dark cherry-red in colour with subtle violet undertones. Rich Cabernet aromas fill the air with notes of blackberry and liquorice, and hints of vanilla spice from the oak. On the palate, ripe dark fruits, firm acid and soft tannins create a balance that is perfect for ageing.

Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

This has the depth of its Stone Dwellers sibling, but its power comes of finesse, cassis supplanting blackcurrant as it effortlessly seduces your palate. Every way you look at it, from the front, the back, the sides, it sings. Dial in a taste question and it will answer.
