Again the curious front label statement ‘Wine from the Valley Floor'. It's an attractive sangio, with a spicy bed for the dominant cherry fruits to recline on. Laid back, but the flavours and mouthfeel are in total sync.

Varietally expressive and fragrant, the bouquet shows sweet raspberry, dark cherry, olive and almond characters with subtle gamey complexity. The palate is juicy and elegantly weighted, delivering lovely concentration and weight, backed by fine texture and grainy tannins. Superbly structured and persistent. At its best: now to 2024.
