The Oakridge 864 range is a showcase of highly detailed micro-selections from the most exceptional single vineyard sites in the Yarra Valley. This Pinot Noir comes from the Henk Vineyard, Aqueduct Block in Woori Yallock, a north-facing site at 240 metres elevation. Planted in 2008, the vineyard’s red volcanic soils and cool climate produce wines of precision, purity and depth. This Pinot Noir leaps from the glass with bold, deep aromas of dark cherry, concentrated plum, and blueberry. Five-spice and fresh florals lift the fruit into a truly heady bouquet, while flecks of graphite and dark bramble add extra layers to the aromatic medley. The palate seamlessly echoes the nose, delivering a rich core of concentrated cherries, mulberries, and blackberries. Fine, notable tannins structure the powerful fruit, while subtle spice adds further complexity.
