This was quite a cool vintage in the Adelaide Hills, and it seems to have suited this variety perfectly. It has a brightness and a freshness and a vibrancy about it that is thoroughly engaging. Aromas of floral, cherry, and typical raspberry, with just a spicy, truffly-like nuance adding further complexity. It's light to medium-bodied, but there is excellent intensity with fine tannins supporting the slightly juicy, savoury red fruit combination that creates a lovely complexity.
