"Founded in 1960, Domaine Michelot is now under the guidance of seventh-generation winemaker Nicolas Mestre. After honing his skills in New Zealand, Nicolas returned to the domaine in 2009 joining his father, Jean-François at just 23 years old. With 17 hectares, including prime holdings in Meursault’s most prestigious Premier Cru sites Charmes, Genevrières, and Perrières, Nicolas crafts wines that are vibrant, energetic, and thirst-quenching, capturing the pure essence of the terroir. The Charmes Premier Cru reveals layers of white peach, apricot, and toasted brioche. The mouthfeel is broad and powerful, offering a concentrated, fleshy texture balanced by a fine saline thread that maintains focus through the finish. This is a world-class Chardonnay that captures the sunny, indulgent character of this iconic vineyard."
