Ahhhh, St Henri - a real treat in any of our annual Penfolds tastings. We adored the lusciousness of the perfectly presented dark berried fruit - plump and succulent and eager to impress. Graphite, malt, licorice and blue fruit are also noted in this fleshy Shiraz which is both a joy to drink now, and possessing the required assets to become truly magnificent. St Henris nearly always does!

Deep crimson. Intense dark cherry, blackberry, roasted walnut, mocha praline, hint waxvarnish aromas. Beautifully concentrated dark cherry, blackberry pastille, dark chocolateflavours, superb slinky firm bittersweet tannins, lovely inky density and well-integrated freshacidity. Claret-firm at the finish. A classical St Henri. A great follow up to the stellar 2021vintage. Outstanding. 96% Shiraz 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale,Padthaway. Drink now–2048. 14.5% alc – 98 point
