About this product

Perched at 250m above Baw Baw Shire, Camp Hill is William Downie’s most refined and high-toned Pinot. The red volcanic soils here are rockier than Bull Swamp, giving the wine a finer, more lifted structure, even in a warmer year like 2024.
This vintage brings a little extra depth and richness, but Camp Hill still dances on the palate. Aromatics lean into the wild side native florals, bergamot, and a hint of mountain herbs while underneath, dark cherries and redcurrants ripple through a framework of fine tannins and high-altitude freshness. There’s spice too, a gentle hum of clove and chicory, adding complexity without weighing things down.
Lithe yet powerful, fragrant yet structured this is classic Downie. Already beautiful, but with the bones to go the distance. Best from 2026.
