Tardieu-Laurent is a family-run micro-négociant founded in 1994, known for sourcing grapes from old vines across the Rhône region and crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines with minimal intervention. The 2022 Hermitage, made from 100% Syrah, is fermented with 1 third whole bunches and is aged for 12 months in new and one-year-old barrels, followed by an additional 12 months in foudre. Sourced from prestigious vineyard sites such as Méal, it showcases intense aromas of blackberries, dark plums, cured meats, warm spices, and earthy nuances. The medium-bodied palate reveals a harmonious texture, with ripe fruit balanced by a firm, finely-tuned structure. The finish is long and vibrant, full of energy, with great ageing potential.
