About this product

Confluence means flowing together or a meeting place. Just like the Murray joins the Darling River to form one and cultures and traditions come together to create our diverse river community. Mataro and Durif have soaked up the Riverland sun to give us rich fruit flavours in a seamless blend. A meeting place where all are welcome.COLOUR Deep purple in colour AROMA Dark chocolate, blackberry and cigar box bouquet PALATE Blackcurrent confected cherries fill the mouth, finishing with a smooth and velvety tannin structure with hints of thyme. FOOD MATCH Pair with BBQ rib eye, roast beef with thyme and mushrooms or a platter of cheese, charcuterie and dried fruit. CELLARING At its best now until 2033 VINTAGE CONDITIONS The 2022 growing season was a dream come true with regular moderate rainfall, generous temperatures and balance on the vine. A long ripening period allowed for even ripening of fruit and as a result the wines show elegance, persistence. aromatic fruit profiles and crisp acids presenting the potential to drink now or drink later. WINEMAKING Mataro and Durif underwent separate ferments. Spending 10 days on skins following pressing, 20% of each wine was placed in old French Oak barrels for 15 months before bottling in February 2024.
