About this product

The Tamar Valley is located in the north of Tasmania, a cool climate wine region synonymous with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. A diverse region influenced by the Tamar River, with rich and fertile soil, and gentle rains that arrive from the Southern Ocean. A renowned region for producing exceptional quality wine.Fruit was placed in an open ferment with a small percentage of whole bunch fermentation to add structured aromatics and spiciness to the Pinot Noir. The fruit spent 10 days on skins in total, before being<br>gently pressed, then run straight to barrels, of less than 10 percent new oak. This Pinot Noir showcases typical Tamar Valley characteristics of spiced red cherries. An unctuous palate with bright crunchy fruit, herbceous stalky greens balanced the earthy-spiced savouriness, dripping with ripe strawberries. It’s a fine, elegant wine which can be enjoyed now, with enough structure to cellar for up to 10 years.
